S.O.D.'s Background
Eli Tuchler, the artist behind Shining Opus Designs, began wire wrapping with copper wire and common stones in his hometown of Blacksburg, Virginia. Within a few months, the copper wirework was upgraded to quality gemstones in silver wire, gold fill, 14k, and 18k gold. Eli graduated from Guilford College with a Major in photography and a minor in Geology. Eli Is currently living in Radford, Virginia furthering his experience as a Jeweler and working at PR Sturgill Fine Jewelry.
Our Vision
Shining Opus Designs was founded in October of 2011 and has been dedicated to providing quality sculptural wire wrapped jewelry ever since. Based out of Floyd, Virginia, Shining Opus Designs has been working with silver, and gold fill wire to encase beautiful natural gemstones with a focus on accentuating the natural beauty of gemstones in both raw and cut forms. Shining Opus Designs creates rings, pendants, pins, and earrings as well as engagement and wedding bands. In addition, Shining Opus Designs has produced some more novelty items such as tie clips, two-finger rings, business card holders and bracelets.
